AI disclosure
Effective October 25, 2026 · Version 1.0
Calls to an AP Receptionist number, and calls to the Amicalola Pros business line, are answered by an AI assistant, not a person. The assistant says so in its first sentence, every call, and tells you the call is recorded. It answers in the business's name, takes down your problem, address, urgency, name and callback number, and texts that summary to the business owner within about a minute. The assistant is an AI and will not hand you to a person during the call. Anything it cannot handle is sent to a person, who replies by email within 24 hours. If you describe a real emergency such as flooding, an active leak or no heat in freezing weather, the receptionist puts you straight through to the business's own cell; if nobody answers, it tells you how to shut off the water, to call 911 if anyone is unsafe, and that the owner is being texted now. The recording and transcript are kept for 90 days so the owner has an accurate record (see our Privacy policy). The owner's business is who you are dealing with, and Amicalola Pros LLC provides the software only.
Questions and answers
Is it really a machine? Yes. It is an AI voice assistant run by Amicalola Pros LLC on behalf of the local business whose number you called. It is not a recording of a person and there is no person listening live.
Why does it tell me that? Several states require it, and we think you should know who you are talking to. The disclosure is always on and a business cannot switch it off.
Is the call recorded? Yes. The assistant says so at the start. The recording and transcript go to the business owner and are deleted after 90 days.
Can I talk to a real person instead? Not during the call. The assistant is an AI and does not hand you to a person. It takes your message and texts it to the business owner, who calls you back; anything the assistant cannot handle goes to a person who replies by email within 24 hours. In a real emergency, the receptionist puts you straight through to the business's own cell.
Does it give medical, legal or safety advice? No. In an emergency it gives three plain steps: shut off the water, call 911 if anyone is unsafe, the owner is being texted. It does not diagnose or quote.
Does the AI decide who gets my request? No. For AP Leads, a simple rule matches your zip code and trade to up to 3 local businesses. The AI does not pick or rank businesses.
Who do I contact about the assistant itself? Amicalola Pros LLC · hello@amicalolapros.com · We reply within 24 hours.
